Sometimes educating the consumer is part of winning them over. Most pet owners are not aware that products sold in bib-box stores can be unhealthy and even harm their pets.
As a way to advertise the business and also educate the consumer, I created place mats to hand out to kids that included activities designed to teach them how to better care of their furry family members.
One activity involved cutting out products that would help take care of the dog. By design, these products were all items sold at Best Buddies.
The idea was that kids would learn the benefits of proper grooming products and healthy dog food and insist their parents purchase these products for their dogs, the same way they see a cereal commercial with a cartoon character and ask to get that same cereal for themselves.
